Do I get a refund if I don't see the aurora?
Fairbanks, Alaska lies within the auroral oval, therefore offering excellent opportunities to witness the Northern Lights on any given night. However, cloud cover and space weather conditions can significantly impact our chances of seeing the aurora, as well as the intensity and timing of the displays. We continuously monitor both Earth and space weather to assess our viewing prospects and identify the best locations for optimal views. We’ll reach out to you the day before your reservation to discuss our chances of seeing the aurora and, if necessary, to explore rescheduling options.
What types of payment do you accept?
We accept payments in person on the night of your reservation. We gladly accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover chip cards, as well as cash in U.S. Dollars ($). Additionally, we offer the convenience of Zelle for electronic payments.
What is the best time to see the Northern Lights?
It gets dark enough in the northern skies to see aurora between August 21st and April 21st.
Do you offer group discounts?
Yes. Our Private Luxury Aurora Black Truck Tour is $1295 which is $180 savings for 5 passengers from our per person price of $295. The luxury private Aurora Black Truck Tour is exclusively for you and your guests.
Do you have wifi?
Yes, you have access to a WiFi hotspot. We use the internet to monitor auroral activity and current weather conditions.
How long is the trip?
We hope to spend at least 2 hours viewing aurora and taking photographs. The overall tour is 4-6 hours which includes pick up at your Fairbanks location and travel to our aurora viewing spot.
How should I dress for the tour?
We recommend dressing warmly, as temperatures often drop below zero at night. Our luxury black truck will be kept running throughout the tour, even while parked, so it will stay cozy inside. However, you'll likely want to step outside to fully immerse yourself in the beauty of the Aurora.
Can I book for any day of the week?
We operate seven days a week throughout the aurora viewing season. To ensure you secure your spot, we recommend booking as soon as your dates in Fairbanks are confirmed, as availability is limited.
Do you have military discounts?
We offer a 10% discount to active and retired military.
